What We Do

  • Servicing and Loss Mitigation Desk Reviews: Review default, foreclosure, and loss mitigation activity against HUD's Loss Mitigation Program, Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) program, and servicing regulations. Identify violations, evaluate alternative retention and disposition options, and document recommendations that minimize FHA insurance fund risk.
  • Mortgage Compliance Manager (MCM) Quality Assurance: Build and operate a comprehensive QA program for MCM monitoring, including review checklists, scoring criteria, and exception escalation.
  • Internal Controls and OMB A-123 Reviews: Assess the adequacy of internal controls across Single Family loan programs, design and execute test procedures, document gaps, and deliver findings consistent with OMB A-123.
  • Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V): Run IV&V procedures for default, foreclosure, and loss mitigation reporting and analysis, including the SMART business service. Validate data inputs, outputs, and security controls and certify systems in accordance with NIST SP 800-37.
  • System Review and Modernization Support: Assess current capabilities and gaps of legacy servicing systems such as SF-DART, recommend modifications, and define user-friendly approaches to extracting data and building reports.
  • Compliance Automation: Automated data reporting, data management, and rules-based exception detection that let multiple desk reviews run concurrently within restricted timeframes, surface noncompliance early, and help agencies refine servicer training.
  • Process Documentation and SOPs: Develop standard operating procedures, document system configurations and interfaces, and produce the documentation required to certify and operate complex servicing platforms.
